A potpourri (below) of swamp milkweed/Ascepias incarnata information as a supplement to other articles.

Despite its name and native environment, Asclepias incarnata grows well outside the swamp. Just give it sun and any reasonably moist spot.
A clump forming plant that may spread by seed, it should not be confused with the thuggish, running-root field milkweed, A. syriacus except that both are fragrant, July blooming Monarch butterfly magnets, supporting both caterpillar and adult butterfly.
